OUR HERITAGE
& HISTORY
Zeta Laboratories was founded in 1991 by Mr M. Modi, a cosmetic chemist who acquired his qualifications in the UK. Upon his return to South Africa, he opened the Modisons retail chain of pharmacies and cosmetic stores which became a household name in Durban.
Zeta Laboratories was opened to supply these stores with house brand health and beauty products until the sale of the Modisons Group in 1998.
Over the years Zeta Laboratories has evolved into specialists in formulating and conceptualising house brands for many retail chains which target all sectors of the market as well as performing contract manufacturing for several multinational companies.
Our growth over the years is largely attributed to our ability to develop and manufacture products which identify with the specific requirements of consumers. We believe in developing products which deliver efficaciously on their claims and are the highest quality. Our Facility in Pinetown, Durban, is equipped with the latest technology to develop and manufacture health and beauty products to international standards, having sourced the bulk of our machinery and equipment from Europe.
OUR VALUES
All our raw materials and packaging are procured from renewable resources as far as possible. We ensure that no material which enters our facility has been; tested on animals, sourced from any country which is at war or is harmful to the environment.
We have plans in place to reduce our carbon footprint annually and eventually reach a stage of being carbon Neutral, in addition to this we have a stringent waste management policy whereby waste is disposed of separately and then recycled.
